A rockfall in the French Alps this week continues to disrupt road and rail freight between France and Italy.
A section of the A43 motorway in the Savoie region is closed until further notice, as the cliff overhanging it remains unstable.
The Frejus tunnel connecting France and Italy under the Alps has also been closed to heavy trucks, whose drivers are being advised to use the Mont Blanc tunnel or the A8 motorway instead.
